FAM & SULOM HAVE CONDUCTED TRAINING FOR STEWARDS

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) in collaboration with Super league of Malawi (Sulom) have agreed to train Stewards on how they can insure security in stadia.

The training has started today and it will end tomorrow at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe. The aim of the training is to equip the security guards on how best they can handle disturbance in stadia. Some football fans vandalise, especially when they disagree with refrees decisions in most cases. For instance Mighty Mukuru Wanderers supporters last season destroy chairs at BNS showing anger upon disagreeing with a decision which was made by Nkhakananga. Although the guards were there but a lot of chairs were destroyed.

FAM vise president Madalitso Kuyera opened the training earlier today. Speaking during the opening ceremony, Kuyera told the journalists that the training is thereby supporting their pillars aims at changing football in Malawi.

In his remarks on of the participant said the training will help them with skills on how to handle security issues in stadia."We are confident that after this training we will do our work professionally and we are hopeful that we will bring peace in stadia.

All teams who are participating in elite league have sent 2 individuals each to take part in the training, numbering to 30 people.Class in progress
