MALAWI BEACH SOCCER NATIONAL TEAM HAVE WON A BRONZE MEDAL

Malawi Beach Soccer national team have landed today at Kamuzu International Airport from South Africa where the participated at COSAFA beach soccer Championship in the city of Durban.

The team has won bronze medal after finishing third at the tournament following a 5-4 win over Saudi Arabia yesterday.The Malawi Beach Soccer National team have failed to book a place in the final of the 2023 Cosafa Beach Soccer Championship after a 6-9 defeat to Morocco.

The team registered two wins in the group stages, when they hammered Seychelles and the host South Africa, but they lost to Morocco in the Semi-finall.
Malawi's CaptainIsaac Kajamu have managed to collect three award. Fair Play Award but also two Man of the Match while Dalla Simba also won Man of the Match award in yesterday's encounter.
Morocco beach soccer national team are the Champions of this year's COSAFA beach soccer Championship after defeating Mozambique in the final match.

THREE INTERNATIONAL BOXERS ARE IN THE COUNTRY FOR A FIGHT ORGANIZED BY YOUTH BOXING PROMOTION

International boxers, Francy Mtetu and Lucien Botembu from DRC as well as Ruan Visser from South Africa have landed yesterday through Kamuzu International Airport for a fight organized by Youth Boxing Promotion. Just a day left for people of loves boxing to appreciate a big fight organized by boxing promotion as Alick Mwenda our own boxer will fight against Francy Mtetu who is from DRC but he stays in Canada. The fight will take place at Lsburg Sports and Leisure Zone in Lilongwe on Sunday 28 April 2024. Speaking during his arrival at KIA Mtetu said people should expect a good fight. FIFA COMMENTED ON THE RUMORS OF THE INTRODUCTION OF THE BLUE CARD

FIFA has today issued an official statement regarding yesterday’s information about the introduction of a blue card in football. According to FIFA, it is premature to talk about this. FIFA wishes to clarify that reports of so called blue card, “at elite levels of football are incorrect and premature. Any such trials, if implemented should be limited to testing in a responsible manner at lower levels, a position that FIFA intends to reiterate when this agenda item is discussed at IFAB AGM on 2 March” To recap, it was reported yesterday about the possibility of introducing a blue card in football, which would be given for tactical fouls and disputes with the referee. A player receiving two such cards would be sent off the field for 10 minutes.
