MIGHTY WANDERERS QUEENS HAVE STARTED THE PREPARATION



Mighty Wanderers Queens have on Wednesday 7th November 2024 started training at Limbe Country Club in preparation for the FAM National Women's Championship which will kick-off in March this year. The Queens will participate on such competitive Championship for the first time in history.

In his remarks Mighty Wanderers Queens coach, Thom Kazembe said he is looking forward for the Championship and they are hoping that they will perform well in the competition. He highlighted that it wont be easy to compete on such stage since its their first time but they will work hard to show excellent performance.
Kazembe added, We have a lot of work to do in order to perform better” The Championship will help us to be strong and capable to compete in any other big competition. We will work extra hard and show up 100 percent effort in this competition to yield better results he concluded.         
The Nomads Queens, booked their place in FAM National Women's Championship after finished on third position in FAM Southern Region Women's Football League. Jomo Osmans women team Ntopwa Queens were crowed the Champions and Nyasa Big Bullets Women finished as runners up. The other teams who will participate in FAM National Women's Championship are Ekwendeni Sisters, Moyale Barracks and CY Sisters from northern region and MDF Lioness, Ascent Academy and Silver Strikers Ladies from Central region. The fourth position teams in all the three regions will also compete to fill the tenth place. The FAM National Women's Championship will host ten team in total.

The ladies of Lali Lubali showed up in large numbers for a training session. This really shows how ready the queens are.  A lot of football fans were happy when FAM announced the start of National Womens Championship, Girls football is now enjoyed and watched by many.

MABEDI IS DISAPPOINTED WITH FLAMES PERFORMANCE PORTRAYED IN 4 NATIONS TOURNAMENT

Flames Head Coach, General Patrick Mabedi said he is very disappointed with the way the players have performed in the Four Nations tournament which took place at Bingu National Stadium from Saturday, 23 March 2024. Malawi national team have lost to Kenya by 4 goals to nill and also lost to Zambia by 2-1 Saturday and Tuesday respectively  Speaking to media, Mabedi said "although we didn't do better throughout the tournament but we are very grateful for the tournament because we have seen where our weaknesses are". I should also emphasize that I am also very happy that I have spotted some of the players who will help us in the world cup qualifiers which will resume in the coming months. Mabedi also highlighted that the delayed release of some players from their team is a contributing factor for their failure to perform better in the tournament. MPINGANJIRA FINALY ACCEPTS NOMADS OFFER

                              Mighty Mukuru Wanderers supporters’ are very happy upon hearing that Thom Mpinganjira has accepted to become the Sole shareholder of Mighty Wanderers Company Limited, who happens to be the owners of the Football Club. This news has bring joy in a lot of Nomads fans, for years they have been doing all they could to offer Mpinganjira the position. Mpinganjira have been helping the club financially though the performance for past years had not been all that impressive. This year the club have finished the season empty handed as their arrivals took all the trophies. Despite the worse performance wanderers had, Mpinganjira insist to help the club financially.
