FOMO FC PROMOTED TO A FLIGHT LEAGUE

The Mulanje based football team, Fomo FC have been promoted to the flight league, TNM Super League as they have been crowned the champions of the ThumbUp Southern Region Football League after beating Ntopwa FC 4-2 on post-match penalties following a one-all draw in 90 minutes.

Chimwemwe Kamowa found the back of the net just 3 minutes after the first whistle of the match. And Japhet Kamzimbi scored an equalizer at 14 minute.

The final ended in one-all-draw in 90 minutes which forced the match to reach into penalties. Fomo FC won the match through penalties and were crowned the champions of SRFA ThumbUp Premier Division League. This automatically made Fomo FC to be promoted in the country’s elite league.

Mapopa Msukwa, the team’s head coach congratulated his boys for the energy and excellent performance they showed throughout season, not forgetting   the whole coaching panel and the entire executive team for every effort. The head coach also highlighted that in everything God has been the best and they are very grateful for His love.

 

Msukwa also advised the team that despite having a successful season they need to boost the squad in some areas for them to perform well and compete in the TNM Super League. He said “Unfortunately I will not be with the team in the Super league because I have CAF C so they will look out for another coach with CAF B or A. the other coach will have to beef up the team but I have left them on a good place, I will maybe go and help another team earn promotion into the Super league again.”

 

Fomo FC will play in the flight league for the first time. And they are hoping to do better and compete not just participating in the 2024 TNM Super league.

MABEDI IS DISAPPOINTED WITH FLAMES PERFORMANCE PORTRAYED IN 4 NATIONS TOURNAMENT

Flames Head Coach, General Patrick Mabedi said he is very disappointed with the way the players have performed in the Four Nations tournament which took place at Bingu National Stadium from Saturday, 23 March 2024. Malawi national team have lost to Kenya by 4 goals to nill and also lost to Zambia by 2-1 Saturday and Tuesday respectively  Speaking to media, Mabedi said "although we didn't do better throughout the tournament but we are very grateful for the tournament because we have seen where our weaknesses are". MPINGANJIRA FINALY ACCEPTS NOMADS OFFER

                              Mighty Mukuru Wanderers supporters’ are very happy upon hearing that Thom Mpinganjira has accepted to become the Sole shareholder of Mighty Wanderers Company Limited, who happens to be the owners of the Football Club. This news has bring joy in a lot of Nomads fans, for years they have been doing all they could to offer Mpinganjira the position. Mpinganjira have been helping the club financially though the performance for past years had not been all that impressive. This year the club have finished the season empty handed as their arrivals took all the trophies. Despite the worse performance wanderers had, Mpinganjira insist to help the club financially.
