BB INJURED PLAYERS TO RECEIVE MEDICAL TREATMENT IN ZIMBABWE



FCB Nyasa Big Bullets board members are planning to send their injured players to Zimbabwe for a medical treatment. The players are the goal keeper Clever Mkungula, defending mid-fielder Frank Willard and their pacey left back Alick Lungu, who were injured last season.


Administration Officer for Nyasa Big Bullets, Albert Chigoga yesterday confirmed in interview that the hospital which will treat these three superstars has already been known in Harare. “According to what doctors have told us the injuries of these players are crucial such that they need to be treated with care” he said. So the boars is planning to fry these players to Zimbabwe in Harare were they will treated accordingly. Mr Chigoga also highlighted that Zainab Kapanda, one of their players in women’s team was treated in Zimbabwe as well. So they are also hoping that their players will be assisted properly. 


Mr Chigoga do not forget to comment on Mike Mkwate’s recovery, he said Mike had right-leg surgery in the month of November last year. He is getting better and he is now doing light-trainings possibly he will return on pitch as soon as possible.    

Clever Mkungula, one of the injured players in his remarks said, the doctors have told them to be treated in Harare because their injuries are crucial. “We have been advised that with the kind of injuries, we cannot be treated here in Malawi, so there are planning to send us to Harare” he said.

The people’s team had a lot of injuries last season. Their Coach Kalisto Pasuwa said this was so because of the congestion of fixture they had last season. “We player a couple number of games in a short period of time” he added that it was hard for them to handle the situation such that other players were playing while carrying injuries.  “We have, had a time were a lot of our players were injured while we were supposed to have international matches ahead of us. We played under pressure but we thank God that despite the circumstance we managed to defend the titles and we grabbed one trophy from our rivals.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have started pre-season trainings yesterday. Albert said the team will train for a week in Blantyre then camp outside the district for two weeks. Bullets will not go to Zimbabwe to participate in Bonanza that was scheduled for March, unfortunately the bonanza has been cancelled due to the early kick-off of their Premier League.
